BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 25, 2025) – Eli Beard scored 15 points to lead Drexel to a 71–66 win over Morgan State on Tuesday night at Hill Field House. The victory marked the Dragons' second straight, bringing them to 4–4 on the season, while the Bears fell to 1–6.

OPENING TIP

• Beard, a senior guard, led three Dragons in double-figures. He scored 15 points on 5-for-11 shooting and went 4-for-8 from beyond the arc in 26 minutes. William Garcia Adsten had a double-double with 12 points (7-9 FT) and a game-high 10 boards. Shane Blakeney finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
•  Alfred Worrell Jr. delivered a spark off the bench, pouring in a game- and season-high 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting in just 25 minutes of action.
• Elijah Davis was the only other Bear to score double-figures with 19 points (7-14 FG), to go along with a game-high seven assists, five rebounds, and two assists in 40 minutes.
• Rob Lawson came off the bench and chipped in 9 points, four rebounds, and three assists in 31 minutes.

THE DIFFERENCE

• Drexel shot 42 percent (22-of-652) from the field and went 6-of-22 from three-point range. Morgan State shot 43 percent overall (24-of-55) and shot just 2-of-13 from deep.
• The Dragons shot 81 percent (21-26)  at the free-throw line, while the Bears converted 76 percent (16-21).
• Drexel controlled the glass, holding a 41–27 rebounding advantage, though Morgan State held a 14–7 edge on the offensive glass.
• Morgan's bench outscored the Dragons by a 35-20 margin.
Drexel seized early control behind back-to-back three-pointers from Eli Beard. Villiam Garcia Adsten, Shane Blakeney, and Victor Panov added to the burst, helping the Dragons build a 16–4 lead with 12:34 left in the first half.
• The Dragons led by as many as 15 points when Dillon Tingler hit a pair of free throws to push Drexel's lead to 21-6 with 9:37 remaining in the first half.
• Drexel held a 34-28 halftime lead.
The second half turned into a tight, hard-fought battle. A Garcia Adsten layup with 17:07 remaining sparked a 9–2 Drexel run, but Morgan State answered, trimming the deficit to 47–44 after Walter Peggs Jr. knocked down a pull-up jumper with 10:41 to play.
The game stayed tight down the stretch, but clutch free throws from Garcia Adsten and Blakeney helped Drexel close it out and secure the win.
The Dragons led practically the entire game – they led 38:23 of the ballgame.
