NORFOLK, Va., (Nov. 18, 2025)--The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) kicked off the 2025 volleyball championship with its awards banquet on Wednesday evening at The Center Club in Downtown Baltimore.

Morgan State would have three athletes earn postseason all-conference honors, as announced by the league office.

Junior
Jada Williams was named to the All-MEAC First Team, senior
Daniela Ferreira was named to the All-MEAC Second Team and freshman
Isabelle Brown was named to the MEAC All-Rookie Team.
Â
Williams led the Bears this season with an attack percentage of .350, service aces (31) and blocks (74), including 30 solo blocks. She totaled 183 kills, 48 digs and 22 assists. A native of Fredericksburg, Va., Williams would also finish the regular season leading the MEAC in attack percentage and was fifth in blocks and ninth in service aces. Williams, who currently ranks fifth all-time at Morgan State with 286 career blocks, set a career-high 10 blocks this season at Maryland Eastern Shore (11/9).

Joining Williams on the first team were TaKenya Stafford, Kayden Cupid and Coco Figueroa (Coppin State), Gabrielle Gilbert (Norfolk State), Rya McKinnon, Zenai Jethroe and Leah Reeves (Howard) and Kamren Harper (North Carolina Central).

A native of Lisbon, Portugal, Ferreira ranked sixth in the MEAC in both kills (3.02) and points (3.26) per set. She led the Bears in kills (266) and was second in service aces with 28, while recording 142 digs, 14 assists and 29 blocks. Ferreira reached double figures in kills 14 times, including setting a career-high 23 kills at Howard (9/28). Ferreira's 17
th kill in the match against Howard, gave her 1,000 kills for her collegiate career.

Ferreira was joined on the second team by Gerren Tomlin (Delaware State), Cherisse Atilano (Coppin State), Manuela Cripa Nasser and Loren Johnson (North Carolina Central), Alexys James (Howard) and Lilliana Montes (Maryland Eastern Shore).

Brown assumed the setting duties and totaled 595 assists, which was third in the MEAC. A two-time MEAC Setter of the Week selection, Brown averaged 7.26 assists and 1.89 digs per set. The Avon, Ind. native, hit .250 with 44 kills, was third on the team in digs with 155 and totaled 23 service aces and 21 blocks. Brown produced three double-doubles and reached double figures in assists in 21 of the 24 matches she played, including a season-best 49 assists against Southern (8/30).

Joining Brown on the rookie team were Cherisse Atilano (Coppin State), Alexys James (Howard), Jayda Hutchins and Malaysia Shaw (Maryland Eastern Shore) and Allyson Rouse (North Carolina Central).

The third-seeded Bears take on No. 6 Maryland Eastern Shore on Thursday, Nov. 20 in the quarterfinal round at 8 p.m. at the Physical Education Complex on the campus of Coppin State University.

The No. 3 seed is the highest finish in the league's regular season standings for Morgan State since the 2019 season, when the team was the No. 2 seed and advanced to the MEAC title match.
