Hiroshi Carr Named MEAC DB of the Week

BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 18, 2025) – Morgan State redshirt sophomore defensive back Hiroshi Carr delivered a clutch performance when the Bears needed it most, earning this week's Aeneas Williams Award HBCU Defensive Back of the Week honor.

Carr was a standout in a game filled with momentum swings and big plays on both sides of the ball. He posted three solo tackles, an interception, and a pass breakup, while holding Norfolk State quarterbacks to a 35.4 passer rating when targeted. His steady presence in coverage and ability to make timely plays proved crucial in the Bears' 35–28 win.

Carr currently ranks fourth on the team with 42 tackles (29 solo) and has contributed three pass breakups, two interceptions, and a forced fumble this season.

Morgan State wraps up the 2025 regular season on Saturday, Nov. 22, when the Bears host North Carolina Central (7–4, 2–2 MEAC) at Hughes Stadium. Kickoff is set for Noon on ESPN+, and the matchup will serve as Senior Day for the Bears.
