Raymond Moore III Earns MEAC Rookie of the Week Honors for the Fifth Time

BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 17, 2025) -- In a season defined by growth, grit, and emerging young talent, one name has consistently risen above the rest for Morgan State — Raymond Moore III.

The redshirt freshman quarterback has injected new life into the Bears' offense with his composure and playmaking prowess, quickly emerging as one of the MEAC's most thrilling young talents. Week after week, Moore has displayed the poise of a seasoned veteran, combining pinpoint passing with explosive runs. The Baltimore native (6-4, 180) has now earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors for the fifth time this season, boosting Morgan State's total to 15 conference awards in 2025.

Moore recently delivered an efficient performance in the Bears' 35–28 win over Norfolk State, completing 16-of-22 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns. He also added a score on the ground, rushing 10 times and helping secure Morgan State's first conference victory of the season.

Through his debut campaign, Moore has completed 78 of 145 passes (53.8%) for 938 yards, along with 8 passing touchdowns and 5 interceptions. As a dual-threat playmaker, he's also rushed 71 times for 361 yards (5.1 yards per carry) and 5 rushing touchdowns, giving him 13 total touchdowns on the year. His ability to influence the game in multiple ways has set him apart within the MEAC's rookie class.

Morgan State wraps up the 2025 season on Saturday, Nov. 22, when the Bears welcome North Carolina Central to Hughes Stadium. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m., as Moore and the Bears aim to close out the year with a strong performance on their home field for Senior Day.
