Bears RB Randall Nauden Recognized as MEAC Rookie of the Week

BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 10, 2025) – Morgan State's streak continues. For the third straight week, the Bears have claimed the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week award.

This time, the spotlight shines on redshirt freshman running back Randall Nauden, who snaps teammate Raymond Moore III's two-week run. The honor marks Nauden's second Rookie of the Week selection this season and pushes Morgan State's total to 14 conference awards in 2025.

Despite limited opportunities in the Bears' 14-12 heartbreaker against Delaware State, Nauden delivered maximum impact. He touched the ball just seven times yet produced 104 total yards, highlighted by a 67-yard touchdown burst. His performance also marked Morgan State's first 100-yard rushing game since Jason Collins Jr. posted 134 yards against Towson earlier this year.

A transfer from Army West Point and native of Olympia Fields, Ill., Nauden has emerged as a key piece of Morgan State's ground attack. He leads the Bears with 474 rushing yards (5.3 avg.) on 90 carries, along with five touchdowns through 10 games. He's also added seven receptions for 68 yards.

Nauden looks to keep that momentum rolling as the Bears travel to the Tidewater for a matchup against Norfolk State (1-9, 0-3 MEAC) on Saturday, Nov. 15, at William "Dick" Price Stadium in Norfolk, Va. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m., with live coverage on ESPN+, WEAA 88.9 FM, and HSRN.com.
