From explosive offensive drives to clutch defensive moments, Morgan State came up just short of its first conference victory, falling 33–27 in overtime during Howard's Homecoming at Greene Stadium in Washington, D.C. Here's a look at the Bears' performance — by the numbers:

0 – Morgan State's defense held the Bison scoreless in the 3rd quarter.

1 – The Bears dropped their first overtime contest against the Bison since the NCAA adopted the rule in 1996. Morgan State now holds a 2–1 overtime record against Howard — highlighted by a 36–33 win on Oct. 13, 2007, and a 31–30 victory on Oct. 18, 2008.

3 – Turnovers forced by the Bears' defense (two interceptions, one fumble recovery).

6.1 – Morgan State's offense's average yards per play.

10 – Tackles recorded by redshirt junior Jordan Johnson II, the most by any player in the game.


16 – Number of rushing touchdowns scored by the Bears this season.

43 – Redshirt junior Keith Jenkins Jr. turned on the jets with a huge kickoff return in the 4th quarter.

59 – Receiving yards by freshman wideout Justin Perry, who led the Bears with three catches.

67 – Rushing yards by redshirt sophomore Jason Collins Jr., who led a balanced Morgan State backfield that saw three different players score on the ground.

171 – Passing yards by redshirt freshman quarterback Raymond Moore III, who also rushed for 99 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown run in his second career start.

256 – Number of career tackles by redshirt senior Erick Hunter, who currently ranks No. 4 on Morgan State's all-time tackles list. 

349 – Total yards of offense on 57 plays for Morgan State.

9,995 – Announced attendance at Greene Stadium.
