Final Results

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (Sept. 21, 2024) —  For the second week in a row, Morgan State senior men's cross country runner Perry Bennett led the Bears with a top-10 performance. This time he crossed the finish line in second place at the UMES Soaring Hawks Invitational on Saturday. 

Bennet delivered a strong performance in the 8000m event, clocking in at 27:10.77, placing him just shy of victory. The Hawks' Jalen Ridgeway edged out Bennet for the win with a time of 27:00.37, highlighting the competitiveness of the race.  Davian Gray claimed 7th place with a time of 28:31.16.

 Morgan's team received solid effort from several runners at the meet, with Caleb Mincey and Rushshane Fullerton leading the charge. Mincey's strong showing earned him a 20th-place finish, completing the course in a time of 30:37.75. Fullerton followed closely behind, securing a 22nd-place finish with a time of 31:03.18. Samuel Skinner also contributed to the team's success, finishing in 26th place with a time of 31:37.64. 

Morgan returns to action on Saturday, October 12 at the NJIT Highlander Challenge in Newark, New Jersey.
