Bears Prepare to Open Outdoor Track & Field Season at the Seahawk Invitational

BALTIMORE, Md. (Feb. 29, 2024) — The Morgan State men's and women's track teams are gearing up for their first outdoor competition of the season at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational. The Harold Greene Track & Field Complex, known for its fast surface, will serve as the perfect setting for the teams to set the tone for the outdoor season..

There will be 15 schools and over 400 individuals competing in the two-day meet, which is scheduled to open at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024.

In Friday action, two field events, the hammer throw and javelin, will take place in addition to the 3,000 meters, 1,500 meters, 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters for men and women. The field events begin at 9 a.m. following by the running events at noon.

In addition to Morgan and UNCW, teams participating in the meet include: Allen, Barton, Belmont Abbey, Francis Marion, High Point, Louisburg College, Meredith, Methodist, Mount Olive, NC State University Club Track, Shaw, UNC Pembroke, and William Peace.
