Smith Adds Incoming Freshman Miya Green

BALTIMORE, Md. (July 13, 2023)--Morgan State acrobatics and tumbling head coach Regina Smith on Wednesday, July 12 announced the addition of incoming freshmen Miya Green to the inaugural acrobatics and tumbling team. 
 
Green comes from Curtis Bay, Maryland with a competitive gymnastics background. Green has been identified as a compulsory athlete. Her skillset will be in different compulsory rounds as both a base and top. Green will also compete in some tumbling heats.  
 
Green, who graduated as a Cum Laude honor roll student from Crofton High School, was a Maryland State and national qualifier in track and field. Green's gymnastics career at Docksiders Gymnastics included xcel silver MVP 2015-16, xcel gold MVP 2016-17, usag xcel gold state qualifier, and xcel gold beam club record 05/2017.
 
"Miya was a pleasant surprise addition. We are pleased to have her talent join our distinguished inaugural class," said Smith. "We look forward to seeing how Miya's skillset develops over the next four years. We know her hard working nature will shine throughout the year." 
 
At Morgan State University, Green will pursue a degree in Biology.
