NORFOLK, Va. (Feb. 14, 2023)--Morgan State freshman bowler
Johnna Hill was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced on Tuesday. It is the fourth weekly honor for Hill this season, who was also named on Oct. 18, 2022, Nov. 15 and Nov. 22, 2022.

Maryland Eastern Shore senior Elizabeth Ross was selected as the MEAC Bowler of the Week.

Hill averaged 197.5 pins in traditional play in the James Brown Invitational over the weekend and ended up finishing 12
th in the individual standings, as the host Lady Bears came in third in the tournament. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native, averaged 20.73 pins per frame for the weekend, including 21.59 per frame in Baker play and she had an 83.3 fill percentage.
"I had moments in the James Brown Invitational that made me feel amazing," said Hill. "The addition of the MEAC Rookie of the Week award is a great way to commemorate those special moments."

Morgan State will travel to Greensboro, N.C. this weekend for the MEAC No. 2 regular season matches hosted by North Carolina A&T (Feb. 18-19) at Triad Lanes.
