BALTIMORE, Md. (August 29, 2021)-Morgan State sophomore
Justyus Jackson was named to the 2021 Baltimore Invite All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of Saturday's action at Hill Field House on the Morgan State campus.

A native of Davenport, Iowa, Jackson averaged 1.77 kills and 1.15 blocks per set during the weekend. She led the Lady Bears with a total of 15 blocks, including three solo blocks and finished second on the team with 23 kills. Jackson led Morgan State with a hitting percentage of .370, while also adding three service aces and six digs in four matches. Â

The 6-foot-1 middle blocker, who transferred from the University of Tulsa, made her Morgan State debut in the season opener against Cleveland State on Friday. She hit .500 and finished with seven kills, three blocks and two digs in the tournament opener. Later that evening Jackson added seven kills, while hitting .462 in a start against the two-time defending Colonial Athletic Conference champion Towson Tigers. She also produced three blocks with two solos and had a dig.

On Saturday, Jackson recorded a career-best five blocks and a career-high three service aces to go with four kills and two digs against Binghamton. In the finale against Navy, Jackson hit for .500, while totaling five kills, four blocks and a dig against the Mids.

Jackson was joined by Annie Bart (Binghamton), London Portis (Cleveland State), Avery Stowell (Navy) and Emily Jarome (Towson).
