27 Bears Earn Academic All-MEAC Honors for Football

BALTIMORE, Md. (November 24, 2021) -- 27 Morgan State University football players earned Academic All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference honors for the 2021 season, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.

MEAC sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, as well as transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year, are eligible for All-Academic accolades.

"I want to congratulate our football student-athletes for maintaining a 3.0 or better grade point average," MEAC Commissioner Dr. Dennis E. Thomas said. "The ultimate goal is to develop and graduate our student-athletes to be productive citizens in our society. The last 18 months have been an arduous time for all students. To achieve a 3.0 GPA during the pandemic is not only noteworthy, but commendable."
