UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Feb. 23, 2020)-With the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Track & Field Championship looming next weekend, the Lady Bears closed out the regular season in championship form during Friday's Penn State Tune-Up at Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

Morgan State had three athletes capture gold and 28 top-10 finishers.

Dinedye Denis claimed gold in both the 200 meter dash in a time of 24.86 and the 400 meter dash in a time of 57.06, both of which were season best times.
Â
Destiny Thompson earned the third individual title for the Lady Bears, as she won the 60 meter dash, crossing the line in a time of 7.75 to run a season best time.
Jon Glass placed third in a time of 8.02 seconds and
Alliayah Ottley (8.16) and
Nofisat Adeyemi (8.29) came in fourth and sixth, respectively.

Thompson also ran a season-best in the 200 meter dash, finishing in 25.52 seconds to place second behind Denis.
Michelle Kamara placed fourth in 26.08 seconds and Ottley came in seventh after crossing the line in 26.77 seconds.
Dejah Tinsley (26.84) placed eighth and Glass (27.07) came in 10
th.

In the 400 meter dash, Kamara ran a season-best 57.68 seconds to finish in third, while
Kimani Davis (59.03) and Tinsley (1:00.02) placed fifth and sixth, respectively.

Ottley placed second in the 60 meter hurdles in 8.83 seconds, while Adeyemi finished in third after running a season-best 9.18 seconds.

Diamond Moore placed third in the 800 meter run, finishing the race in a time of 2:46.15.
Jalissa Emmens ran a time of 5:23.46 to place seventh in the mile run.

The Lady Bears' field events team also posted some outstanding marks. Moore finished second in the high jump with a height of 5-4.25 and
Miazziah Rose placed fourth with a mark of 5-2.25.

In the triple jump,
Ayanna Henry and Rose placed third and fourth, respectively. Henry had a leap of 37-6.50, while Rose had a jump of 36-2.00.

Alantra Mines recorded a jump of 17-11.50 to place fifth in the long jump and Moore came in sixth with a leap of 16-08.75.
Micaela Fleetwood finished eighth after crossing the line in a time of 15-07.00.

Jaida West finished seventh in the shot put with a toss of 38-9.50.
Jannah Sharpe registered a throw of 49-8.50 to place seventh in the weight throw, while
Nadirah Umrani-Sanders threw a season-best 48-0.50 to come in eighth.

The Lady Bears will now direct their attention to the MEAC Indoor Championships held Thursday, Feb. 27-Saturday, Feb. 29 at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex.
