BALTIMORE, Md. (January 7, 2020) --
College football analyst Phil Steele unveiled his 2019 All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Teams on Tuesday afternoon. Morgan State earned four All-MEAC selections, including three recognitions on the First Team.

Senior wideout Manasseh Bailey along with senior linebackers Rico Kennedy and Ian McBorrough were named to the First Team.  Sophomore kicker Nicholas O'Shea was named to the Third-Team.

Bailey outperformed Steele's preseason predictions which originally placed him on the Third Team. Bailey set school records in a number of categories during his final collegiate season. The Capitol Heights (Md.) native finished the season ranked 3rd in the MEAC in receiving yards (996 yds) – it ranks as the 2nd highest total in Morgan State history behind Clarence Holzendorf (1,702 yds; 1993). Bailey also ranked among the league leaders: 3rd in reception TDs (10), 4th in receptions (54),  6th in scoring TDs (11), and 8th in scoring (68 pts).

Kennedy earned his third consecutive All-MEAC selection and finished the season third in the MEAC in tackles with 105, averaging 8.8 per game, and he led the conference with 16.0 tackles for loss -- 4.5 of which are sacks. The Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) product also added two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on the year.

McBorrough led the Bears as one of the league's premier linebackers. The senior led the MEAC with a career-high 110 total tackles and he also ranked T-11th in tackles for loss (10). He also had five fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles and two sacks.

O'Shea started in 12 games and ranked 2nd in the league in field goals (13-18) and field goal percentage (72%). He also converted 20 of 25 point after attempts and ranked 5th in the league in scoring kicks (59 pts).

Morgan State finished the season with a 3-9 overall and 2-6 conference record.
