BALTIMORE, Md. (March 24, 2019)-The Morgan State women's track and field team returned to the track on Thursday, as it spent part of its spring break in Jacksonville, Fla., competing in the North Florida Spring Break Invitational, hosted by the University of North Florida.
 
Infinnatie Rowe would lead the Lady Bears with a first-place finish in the 800 meter run, winning the event in a time of 2:09.13. Rowe's time is currently the fastest in the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) thus far.
 
Annastacia Barham placed fifth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 55.39, which is also the fastest time in the MEAC.
 
The Lady Bears' 4X400 meter relay team of Barham, Valencia McDowell, Dinedye Denis and Rowe would capture gold, finishing in 3:46.66.
 
Morgan State's 4X100 meter relay team would place sixth, as Kevena Jones, Barham, Anaya Monroe and Destiny Thompson finished in a time of 46.93 seconds.
 
Diamond Moore would set a personal best in the 100 meter hurdles, finishing in a time of 14.67 seconds to place 11^th.
 
Other notable performances included Alantra Mines, who place eighth in the triple jump with a jump of 37-3.25, while Miazziah Rose came in ninth with a leap of 37-0.25. Rose would also finish ninth in the high jump with a height of 5-3.75.
 
Zakyrah Haynie would earn a top-10 finish in the 3000 steeplechase, running a time of 12:47.82 to come in eighth.
 
The Lady Bears will travel to Raleigh, N.C. this weekend to take part in the Raleigh Relays (March 29-30), hosted by North Carolina State.
