UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Feb. 16, 2019)-The Morgan State women's track and field team completed its final regular season indoor meet on Saturday at the Penn State Tune-Up in the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.
 
On the track, Anaya Monroe, Annastacia Barham and Infinnatie Rowe each claimed individual titles. Monroe would run a personal best time of 24.92 seconds to win the 200 meter dash, while teammates Dinedye Denis (25.28) and Kimani Davis (26.22) placed fourth and seventh.
 
Barham captured the 400 meter dash title, finishing in a time of 56.13. Davis would come in sixth, crossing the line in a time of 58.27. Barham would also place second in the 60 meter dash, finishing in 7.68 seconds.
 
Rowe, who a week ago set the school's indoor record during the Boston University Valentine Invitational with a time of 2:08.31, captured gold in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:08.49. Zakyrah Haynie ran a time of 2:21.62 to place eighth.
 
Rachel Field would finish sixth in the 3000 meter run, crossing the line in a time of 11:10.91.
 
In the field events, Diamond Moore placed fourth in the high jump with a mark of 5-04.25 and placed third in the long jump with a leap of 18-03.25. Alantra Mines (17-02.25) placed fifth in the long jump and Zhane Washington (16-11.25) finished sixth.
 
In the triple jump, Miazziah Rose finished fifth with a leap of 36-11.50. Ayanna Henry had a jump of 36-01.50 to place seventh, while Alantra Mines finished eighth with a mark of 36-00.25.
 
Nadirah Umrani-Sanders rounded out the scoring for Morgan State with a third place finish in the weight throw with a personal best toss of 49-00.25.
 
Next up, Morgan State will compete at the 2019 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Indoor Championship, Thursday, Feb. 21-Saturday, Feb. 23 hosted by Howard University at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Md.
