Men's Cross Country Place Sixth at the UMES Invitational

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (September 22, 2018) -- The Morgan State men's cross country team turned in a sixth place performance on Saturday morning at the Maryland-Eastern Shore Invitational held at The Hawks XC Pavilion in Princess Anne, Md.

Seton Hall captured the title with 27 points, while Howard finished second with 48 points and host Maryland-Eastern Shore turned in a third place finish with 75 points. Delaware State (119 points) placed fourth.

Seton Hall's Jesse Southard crossed the finish line in first place with a time of 26:36.3, while the Pirates captured five of the top 10 top spots in the race.

The Bears were led by senior Joseph Halim who placed 27th with a time of 31:08.9 and an average mile of 6:15.9, while freshman teammate Nahshon Robinson turned in a time of 33:06.8 to place 35th. Jalon Robinson recorded a time of 33:17.4 and finished in 38th place.

Morgan State will return to action on the morning of Saturday, October 12th at the Delaware State Alumni Invitational in Smyrna, Delaware.
