Student Life
What is the best time of year on campus? Well my first choice would be Homecoming season because of all the returning Alumni and increase in school spirit. I would also add I Love Morgan Week!
What is your major and why did you choose your major? My major is pure Mathematics. I chose mathematics because it is involved in a large variety of career fields, subjects and aspects of life. I find math very fascinating because there's so many ways to get to the solution.
Have you switched your major? Yes, I started off as a social work major and had the intent of working with young adults. However, I realized I could major in almost anything and still work with children or young adults.
What has been your favorite or most interesting class at MSU? The most interesting class I've taken at Morgan is by far Anthropology. I found it the most interesting because we learned about various cultures and we discussed the role of an educated person in society.
Favorite professor and why? My favorite professor is Dr. Rodney Kerby because he is absolutely hilarious. He is an exceptional mathematician and you really learn the material and how to apply it. He also always goes off on these hilarious tangents.
If you had to give an incoming student advice, what would it be? Get out of your room and never limit yourself to just one group of friends. Get involved! College is definitely what you make it, so make it the best years of your life. Find yourself and don't be afraid to try new things.
Describe your first day as a student at Morgan State. My first day at Morgan was hilarious now that I look back on it. I was so sleepy after waking up at 5am for weights and practice, and I was sure Coach was crazy for thinking I could function in class after that! I had a 9am class, so did I get dressed up? No, I rolled around all morning sweaty with my sweats on lol. I went to canteen for lunch, and I was sure everyone in there was dressed for a fashion show. I got my sandwich and power walked to my room. I showered and got dressed. Stared at myself in the mirror and said, "Wow Kee, you're really a college student now." And then I headed back out.
What do you like most about Morgan State? I love the family like atmosphere that Morgan has. I feel it within athletics, but I also feel it around campus. It really makes you feel connected instead of like a number.
What would you like to change at Morgan State? I would love to increase school spirit! It's not enough to have school spirit during Homecoming. We must have it all the time! The increase should also cover support for sports other than football and men's basketball. Yes, we should support those teams, but volleyball, women's basketball, tennis, bowling, etc. need support as well. We are all Bears.

Do you have any pre-game/match superstitions or rituals?  No, but you can always find me dancing around before the game.
