GAME TIME
Morgan State (2-7, 2-5) will attempt to snap a five-game losing streak when they travel to take on the Army West Point (5-5) on Saturday. Game time at Michie Stadium is scheduled for 12 p.m. and will be televised live by the CBS Sports Network. WEAA, 88.9 FM will be broadcasting the game live. The Bears will look to rebound from a heartbreaking 22-21 loss at Florida A&M, while the Knights are coming off a 44-6 loss to Notre Dame at The Alamodome. This will mark the 2nd meeting in the series.

THE SERIES
• Morgan State and Army will meet for just the second time in history. The first meeting was during the 2013 season opener at Michie Stadium on August 30. It also marked Army's first meeting against a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
• Army put on a show before 24,245 at Michie Stadium to kickoff the Labor Day Weekend. The Black Knights utilized 396 yards of offense on its way to a 28-12 victory. Army QB Angel Santiago rushed for 120 yards on 16 carries with TDs covering 33, 3 and one yard.
• Morgan State's offense finished with 301 yards, including 52 carries for 185 yards on the ground.
• Redshirt freshman Lamont Brown tallied 75 rushing yards to lead the Bears backfield, while freshman Herb Walker added 56 yards on the ground.
Chris Flowers was MSU's top receiver, catching a pair of balls for 37 yards and a touchdown.

• Senior WR Ladarious Spearman led the Bears with 4 catches for 32 yards last week vs. Florida A&M.
• Senior LB Greg Gibson ranks No. 6 in the MEAC in tackles (67) and posted his first INT of the season last week at Florida A&M.
• Junior DL Jai Franklin posted a strip-sack-fumble recovery for a 10-yard TD return at Florida A&M.
• The Bears rank No. 7 in the league in total offense by averaging 286.4 yards per game.
• MSU ranks T-No. 4 in the MEAC in sacks with 20.
• MSU ranks No. 1 in the MEAC in kickoff returns (22.5) and No. 4 in punt returns (11.1).
A GLANCE AT THE BLACK KNIGHTS
• Army West Point will enter Saturday's contest with a 5-5 record and will attempt to snap a 2-game skid following losses to Air Force and Notre Dame.
• Army's last home win was against Lafayette on Oct. 15 when they posted a 62-7 blowout victory at Michie Stadium.
• Junior Ahmad Bradshaw (5-11, 198) runs the show for Army's prolific triple-option attack. He has completed 42.8 percent of his passes (33-77) for 558 yards with 3 TDs and 8 INTs. He also leads the Knights on the ground with has 147 carries for 600 yards with 5 TDs.
• Andy Davidson (6-2, 200) and Darnell Woolfolk (5-9, 225) also add to the Knights' top ranked rushi game. Davidson has a team-high 700 yards (5.4 avg) on 132 carries with 7 TDs, while Woolfolk has 346 yards and 6 TDs.
• Bradshaw will also look to target WRs Edgar Poe (12 rec., 245 yds, 2 TDs), Christian Poe (10 rec., 133 yds) and Jeff Ejekam (9 rec., 110 yds, TD) in the passing game.
• Defensively, Army will be led by senior linebackers Andrew King (6-2, 246) and Jeremy Timpf (6-1,230). King has 81 tackles (47 solo) with 8 TFLs, and 4 sacks, while Timpf is second on the team with 78 stops, 7 TFL and two picks.
• The Black Knight's defense rank T-14 in the nation with13 interceptions.
• Army is the nation's No. 2 ranked leader in rushing offense by averaging 311.4 yards per game. New Mexico ranks No. 1 with a 347.8 average.
• Jeff Monken enters his third season as Army West Point's head coach. In his first season, the Knights were 4-8 followed by a 2-10 second season. They already have five wins this season and are attempting to have their first winning season since posting a 7-6 record in 2010.

PRESEASON PICKED LAST
Morgan State, who finished T-4th place a season ago, was picked to finish seventh (7th) to co-defending MEAC champions and Preseason #1 North Carolina A&T, #2 Bethune-Cookman and #3 N.C. Central.
PRESEASON ALL-MEAC PLAYERS
Five (5) Morgan State football players were named to the 2016 MEAC preseason team, which was voted on by the conference head coaches and sports information directors. Redshirt senior cornerback Delonta Hall was named first-team All-MEAC, while senior running back Orlando Johnson was a second-team selection. Redshirt senior tight end Willie Gillus III, junior offensive lineman Joshua Miles and junior defensive lineman Jai Franklin were third-team picks.
BEARS OPEN 118th SEASON OF FOOTBALL SINCE 1898
MSU enters its 118th season of football, and the first under interim head coach Fred T. Farrier.
RETURN MEN
The 2016 Morgan State Bears return 66 letterwinners, including 15 starters - 9 on offense, 8 on defense and 1 on special teams.
CAMPAIGNING FOR SUCCESS
The Bears enter the 2016 season looking to post their first winning season since going 7-6 in 2014.
NON-CONFERENCE PLAY
The Bears will open the 2016 campaign against two of its first three non-conference matchups. MSU opens the season at home against Holy Cross (Sept. 3), followed by a road game at Marshall (Sept. 10). The Bears round out non-conference in a season-finale matchup at Army (Nov.19).
BEARS NAME TEAM CAPTAINS
The MSU Bears wrapped up the preseason by naming the team captains for the 2016 season. The leadership group is comprised of four seniors and a junior ... offense - Thomas Martin (Naples, Fla.), Dominique Woods (Skyline, Texas) - defense - Greg Gibson (Houston, Texas), Ayodeji Agbelese (Lanham, Md.) and special teams - Willie Gillus III (Suffolk, Va.).
BEARS OPEN 40th SEASON IN MEAC
The Bears will opened its 40th season in the MEAC when they played host to the Howard Bison on Sept. 24.
• The Bears opened the 2015 MEAC schedule with a 21-13 victory against Howard at the 18th Annual Chicago Football Classic at Soldier Field.
• The Bears kicked off its first season in the MEAC in 1971. Morgan State withdrew from the conference at the end of the 1979-80 fiscal year, before returning to the MEAC in 1984.
MSU IN THE CIAA
Morgan State was a power as a former member of the CIAA. The Bears posted 173 wins between 1929 and 1959 when Edward P. Hurt was the head coach and the Bears won 14 CIAA championships. Earl Banks added to the championship collection by winning four titles during the 1960s.
ROAD WOES
Morgan State continues to be in search of its first road win of the 2016 season. The Bears dropped a 62-0 decision at Marshall (Sept. 10) and fell 22-12 at Hampton, 27-14 at Norfolk State, and a 22-21 loss last weekend at Florida A&M. Following this weekend's contest in West Point, the last game for the Bears will be on the road at Savannah State (Nov. 26). MSU's last win outside of the confines of Hughes Stadium was on Oct. 3, 2015 when they handed Delaware State a 26-6 loss in Dover.
