BALTIMORE, Md. – The Morgan State football team conducted the first scrimmage of fall camp Saturday at Hughes Stadium working out for two hours in full pads.
The Bears ran approximately 50 plays with the number one and two units while the third team managed to get at least 20 plays.
When asked what would be his biggest concern at this point in the preseason, Hull said it was mainly mental errors.
"We need to cut down on our penalties and missed assignments. We had too many illegal procedures, a couple of holding calls, and missed assignments. It's mental errors and we just need to get refocused and try to get better."
Hull also talked about the defensive side of the ball under new defensive coordinator
Mike Fanoga.
"Coach [Fanoga] has them playing with more confidence. We have a fast and aggressive defense and they will only get better."
Morgan State will return to practice Monday.
Morgan State opens the 2015 season on Sept. 5 at Air Force. The Bears will open the home portion of its schedule at Hughes Stadium on Sept. 19 versus Virginia-Lynchburg at 4 p.m.
