BALTIMORE, Md. (April 4, 2015)-The visiting Lady Bison of Howard slipped out of Baltimore with a 4-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) victory over Morgan State on Saturday at the MSU Tennis Courts.
 
Morgan State dropped to 3-12 overall and 1-1 in the MEAC Northern Division with the loss. The loss was the second straight for the Lady Bears, who have now lost two consecutive home matches after jumping out to a 3-0 start at home.
 
Howard (5-6, 4-0 MEAC) and Morgan State split the six singles matches, each winning three. Danielle Thompson defeated Howard's Umarah Mughnee in a No. 2 singles match by a score of 6-4, 6-2. Kayla Price earned a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win at the No. 3 position over Audra Bell and Cierra Plummer defeated Sajela Harlow, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6.
 
The Lady Bison, however would win all three doubles matches to claim the doubles' point and take the one-point victory.
 
The Lady Bears will host both the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) and Delaware State in two MEAC Northern Division matches on Tuesday, April 7 at the MSU Tennis Courts. First serve against UMES will be 10 a.m. with the Delaware State match to following later in the afternoon.
