BALTIMORE, Md. (April 11, 2015)-The visiting Lady Bears of Morgan State made quick work of their rivals Coppin State, defeating the host Eagles, 4-0 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Northern Division match on Saturday night at the CSU Tennis Courts.

With the win, the Lady Bears (6-13) concluded their MEAC slate winning their last three league games to finish with a 4-1 mark and wrap up the No. 2 seed out of the northern division for the upcoming MEAC Tennis championship, April 16-18 in Cayce, S.C.

Coppin State concluded the season with a 1-10 overall record and 1-4 in the MEAC Northern Division.

Chelsi Russell defeated Carentxa Goede in a No. 1 singles match, 6-1, 6-0 and
Danielle Thompson earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 2 over Coppin's Ashley Milo.
Kayla Price was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Miranda Taylor of Coppin State at No. 3, while
Riana Roberts shut out Alexis Marsh, 6-0, 6-0 in a No.4 match.

The Lady Bears wrap up their regular season on Sunday with a non-conference match against James Madison in Harrisonburg, Va. at 1 p.m.
