BALTIMORE, Md. (September 23, 2026) - Junior cornerback Joshua Narh came up with a game-changing play for Morgan State, earning the Aeneas Williams Award HBCU DB of the Week honor for Week 3. 

Narh recorded three tackles, including two solo stops, and secured a crucial end-zone interception to stop a late Towson scoring opportunity. His takeaway helped the Bears close out a 41-26 victory in front of a record crowd of 10,900 at Johnny Unitas Stadium. 

Narh was part of a Morgan State defense that played a major role in the historic victory, limiting Towson to just 61 rushing yards. As a unit, the Bears recorded seven tackles for loss, five sacks, seven quarterback hurries, and two pass breakups, consistently applying pressure and disrupting the Tigers' offense throughout the contest.

The win snapped Towson's 17-year winning streak in the Battle for Greater Baltimore, bringing the rivalry trophy back to Morgan State and marking a historic statement victory for the Bears in front of the Baltimore faithful.

The Bears have now won three of their last four games and will look to continue their momentum when they travel to take on the No. 22-ranked Villanova Wildcats on Saturday, Oct. 3.
 
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Villanova Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with additional radio coverage provided by WEAA 88.9 FM.
 
The Aeneas Williams Award is presented by the Chickasaw Nation and awarded to the best defensive back in Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Division I college football based on performance on the field, athletic ability and character. Established in 2022, this award serves as the first of its kind in HBCU history in honor of its namesake, Southern University walk-on and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Aeneas Williams. The contribution of HBCUs to the landscape of college football and the NFL has forever left an impact on the game.
