Morgan State QB Cameron Edge Named MEAC Offensive Player of the Week

BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 21, 2026) -- Morgan State senior quarterback Cameron Edge was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Football Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Edge delivered a strong performance in his fourth start for Morgan State, completing 14 of 23 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in the Bears' 41-26 victory over Towson in the Battle for Greater Baltimore at Johnny Unitas Stadium.

The win marked Morgan State's first victory over the Tigers since 2009 and helped the Bears improve to 3-1 for the first time since that same season. Morgan's 41 points were also the most the Bears have scored against Towson since the series began in 1979.

Edge helped lead a Morgan State offense that produced 369 yards of total offense, including 246 through the air.

Through four games, Edge ranks second in the MEAC in passing, averaging 178.0 passing yards per game. The senior has completed 50 of 76 attempts for 712 yards and seven touchdowns, with just one interception.

Edge becomes the first Morgan State player to earn MEAC Player of the Week honors this season.

Morgan State will return to action Saturday, Oct. 3, when the Bears travel to Villanova, Pa., to face the Villanova Wildcats at Villanova Stadium.
