BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 18, 2026)--The Morgan State men's tennis team was in action on Friday, as the Bears made the short trek to Loyola Maryland to face the Greyhounds in the McClure Invitational.

Host Loyola Maryland would hold off Morgan State, 4-3 at McClure Tennis Center.

The difference came down to the doubles play, as the Greyhounds swept all three contests to earn the doubles point.

Ilya Maltsev secured a 6-4, 6-4 victory for the Bears at No. 1 singles over Petter Hagen.
Mohamed Ridha Ghettas picked up a win at the No. 3 spot, defeating David Suarez 6-3, 6-3. And
Abdulraheem Isa also secured a win, posting a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Eddie Roake at No. 4.

Morgan State will next face Mount St. Mary's on Saturday at 12:45 pm.
