BALTIMORE, Md. (April 28, 2026)--Morgan State will wrap up the regular season with a non-conference doubleheader on the road against Bowie State on Tuesday, April 28. First pitch is at 1 p.m. at the BSU Softball Complex in Bowie, Md. The contest will air live on HBCU Go.

Maryland's two oldest Historically Black Colleges and Universities in Bowie State (1865) and Morgan State (1867) have met eight times since the 2012 season with Morgan winning all eight games played on its home field at Lois T. Murray Field. The two teams last met in the 2024 season opener with Morgan State sweeping the doubleheader 6-1 and 9-1 in five innings.

The Bulldogs (17-17, 12-0 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) have won two straight and seven of their last eight games. Bowie State last took the field on Saturday, April 18 for a CIAA doubleheader against visiting Lincoln-Pa. The Bulldogs would win both games 8-1 and 9-3.

Bowie State freshman pitcher Aaliyah Amos would earn CIAA Rookie and Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing 18 8 in two complete game victories over Lincoln-Pa.

Morgan State (12-26, 9-12 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) is coming off a three-game sweep of crosstown rival Coppin State over the weekend. The wins helped the Lady Bears move into fifth place in the league standings and solidify their spot in the upcoming MEAC softball championship (May 6-9) in Norfolk, Va.

Junior pitcher
Millie Cousins was named MEAC Player of the Week on Monday. It was her third weekly honor this season, including two pitcher of the week awards (March 9, March 30).

The Sydney, Australia native batted .666 (10-for-15) with eight RBIs, eight runs scored, three extra-base hits, including a home run. As a pitcher, she went 2-0, recording an ERA of 2.86, while throwing seven strikeouts in 14.2 innings pitched.
