Morgan State Looks To Get Back On Track Against Norfolk State

Lady Bears have won five straight over Spartans in Norfolk.

BALTIMORE, Md. (April 17, 2026)--Morgan State heads to Virginia's Tidewater area this weekend to take on Norfolk State in a crucial three-game Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) series (Saturday, April 18-Sunday, April 19). The series gets underway with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and concludes with a single game on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. for the Spartans' Senior Day. All three games will be played at TowneBank Softball Field in Norfolk, Va.

Morgan State (8-23, 5-10 MEAC) is in the midst of a six-game losing skid after dropping last weekend's series at home to defending champion, Howard. It marked the first time the Lady Bears dropped back-to-back MEAC series for the first time this season.

Norfolk State (18-17, 8-7 MEAC) is riding a four-game losing skid, including being swept the last three games by Coppin State last weekend. The Spartans' comeback in the series finale on Sunday fell short, as the host Eagles held off Norfolk State 4-3 to complete the sweep.

MSU-NSU Series Notes: Morgan State and Norfolk State have each won 22 of the last 44 meetings in the series since the 2008 season. Last season the Spartans came into Baltimore and swept the three-game series against Morgan State, ending an eight-game winning streak by the Lady Bears. Morgan State has won five straight over the Spartans in Norfolk, Va.
