NORFOLK, Va. (March 29, 2026)--The Morgan State men's tennis team faced defending Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) champion South Carolina State on Day 2 of the MEAC Round-Up on Sunday afternoon at Folkes Stevens Tennis Center of the campus of Old Dominion. The Bears would fall to S.C. State, 6-1.
S.C. State (7-6, 2-0 MEAC) won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs then captured five of the six singles contests for the win.
Morgan State's (5-9, 0-2 MEAC) lone victory came at the No. 3 spot, when
Mohamed Ridha Ghettas battled the Bulldogs' Iliyas Muratuly for three sets. Ghettas would eventually earn the victory by the score of 5-7, 6-4, 12-10.
The Bears will close out the MEAC Round-Up on Monday, March 30 when they take on host Norfolk State at 11 a.m.
