Morgan State (5-16), winners of four of its last five contests, is coming off back-to-back series victories last week. The Lady Bears earned a doubleheader sweep on the road at North Carolina A&T, before returning home for its home opening weekend and winning two games in its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) series against North Carolina Central.

The Lady Bears began the weekend winning their home- and series-opener against North Carolina Central 5-2 on Saturday. Morgan State and the Eagles had an offensive explosion in the first game on Sunday, as the Lady Bears outlasted NCCU, 14-13 in eight innings. The Eagles would salvage a game in the series, winning the finale 10-0 in five innings.

George Washington (14-12) enters the contest on the two-game losing skid, after dropping the final two games of its A-10 series loss at Dayton over the weekend. The Revs opened the series with a 9-2 win Saturday's opener, before falling in the nightcap, 6-3. On Sunday, the Flyers claimed the series with a 5-4 come from behind victory.

MSU-GW SERIES NOTES: George Washington holds a 7-1 all-time series lead dating back to the 2015 season. The Revolutionaries have won six straight over Morgan State, including last season's 18-2 victory at Lois T. Murray Field. Â
