NOTE THE QUOTE | COACH KEVIN BROADUS

On the team's effort and resilience today:
"Like I told them, to win on the road, you've got to give of yourself. When we got down, I told them to just keep grinding — one possession at a time. There's no such thing as a 10- or 20-point play. They bought in, and this is what happens."

On dealing with injuries:
"Christian Oliver, Matar Wade, Trent Edwards — we've got guys banged up. But nobody feels sorry for you. It's next man up. Marlon [Harris] played a heck of a game, along with [Christian] Meeks. Even when those guys fouled out, it was still next man up. Our guys just grinded from start to finish. It wasn't easy, but to win on the road is special."

On Rob Lawson's performance:
"Big time. He's grown from a boy into a man. I don't even know if he came off the floor. His composure was huge — he played about 40 minutes and stepped up big. He and Elijah [Davis] — our guards were big today."

UP NEXT
Morgan State returns to action on Monday, Jan. 26, as the Bears travel to the Tidewater area for a conference showdown against the Norfolk State Spartans at Joseph Echols Hall in Norfolk, Virginia.
