FAIRFAX, Va. (Sept. 12, 2025)--Kiera Hamilton recorded a match-high 13 kills and Camryn Weldon tallied a match-high 15 assists to lead host George Mason past Morgan State 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-16) in Friday night's Battle of the Beltway opener at the Recreation & Athletic Complex.

The Patriots improved to 4-3 with the victory, while Morgan State dropped to 3-4.

Nia Thompson recorded 11 digs and Autumn Martinez-Robinson added 10 to pace the host Patriots, who now lead the all-time series, 4-2.

Morgan State was paced by
Jada Williams and Daniela Feerreira, who both finished with five kills, while
Hanna Nemeth added three.
Mya Karrick and
Isabelle Brown each totaled nine assists, and
Mikaela Esparza tallied nine digs.

The Bears, who have dominated teams this season in the blocking category, was limited to just one block, a solo block by
Jordan Williams, as George Mason held a 6.0-1.0 advantage.

Morgan will look to regroup when it returns home to host Georgetown on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hill Field House. The Bears will then wrap up the tournament with a 2 p.m. contest on Sunday, Sept. 16 at George Washington in Washington, D.C.
