2025 MEAC Bracket
NORFOLK, Va. (April 30, 2025)--The field is set for the 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Championship, with the Howard University Bison earning the No. 1 seed after capturing the regular season title.
Howard wrapped up conference play with a dominant 20-1 record and hold a 26-18 overall mark, setting a new program record for most conference wins in a single season. The title is the Bison's first regular season crown since 2010.
Norfolk State University claimed the No. 2 seed after a remarkable turnaround season. The Spartans went 21-21 overall and 14-7 in MEAC play, an impressive improvement from last year's 4-42 record.
Delaware State earned the No. 3 seed with a 24-21 overall record and a 12-9 mark in conference action.
Defending MEAC Champions Morgan State University will enter the tournament as the No. 4 seed, closing out the regular season with a 17-27 overall record and a 12-9 conference record.
North Carolina Central University claimed the No. 5 seed after finishing 13-31 overall and 10-10 in MEAC play.
South Carolina State rounds out the six-team bracket as the No. 6 seed. The Bulldogs posted a 14-20 overall record and went 10-11 in conference play.
The 2025 MEAC Softball Championship will take place May 7-10 at the NSU Softball Field on the campus of Norfolk State University.
