TAMPA, Fla. (April 11, 2025) — The Morgan State men's track and field team journeyed to the South Florida Invitational on Friday, utilizing the USF Track and Field Stadium as a stage to gauge their development deep into the outdoor season.
The team wrapped the meet on a high note, recording five top-10 finishes across various events.
KeSean-Jordan Rhooms demonstrated impressive athleticism in the long jump competition, achieving a leap of 1.95 meters to finish in ninth place.
Jadon Ra-Akbar raced to a ninth place finish in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.33. In addition to his performance on the track, Ra-Akbar also participated in the long jump, achieving a leap of 6.74 meters.
In the 800-meter dash, Caleb Mincey raced to a 10th place finish by running a time of 1:51.96.
Zackery Dillon was a key contributor for his team in the throwing events. Dillon secured an eighth-place finish as he launched the metal ball 14.79 meters. He also earned 11th place in the discus with a 46.51-meter throw, while teammate Kimani Coffee followed closely behind, claiming 12h place with a throw of 45.10 meters.
Maxim Copeland raced to a time of 21.33 in the 200 meter dash, securing a 14th place finish.
