Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 28, 2025)--The Morgan State women's tennis team began the 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Round-Up with a tough 4-3 loss to Norfolk State on Friday morning at the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation.

Morgan State (4-10, 0-2 MEAC) jumped out on the Spartans 1-0 after claiming the doubles point. The tandem of Jula Jeffrey and
Tyler Williams won their No. 2 contest 6-2 and
Lauryn Hall and
Hannah Smith also earned a 6-2 victory at the No. 1 position.

The Spartans would respond by winning three straight singles matches (No. 1-3) to take a 3-1 lead.

Morgan State's Marta Serra Charles ended Norfolk State's run with a 7-5 win by retirement victory at No. 4 singles to bring the Lady Bears within 3-2. However, the Spartans put the contest away with victory at the No. 5 spot. Â

Stefania Moysiadi ended the match with a victory over Norfolk State's S Gonzalez 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 at the No. 6 singles position.

Next Up: The Lady Bears will take on defending MEAC Champion South Carolina State on Saturday, March 29 at 12 p.m. at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, Md.
