Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. (March 25, 2025)--The Morgan State women's tennis team began the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) slate dropping a 5-2 decision at home to Delaware State on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Bears fell to 4-10, 0-1 in the MEAC. Delaware State improved to 4-4, 2-0 in the MEAC.

The visiting Hornets claimed the doubles point, by winning two of the three matches. Morgan State's
Tyler Williams and Jula Jeffrey salvaged a total sweep by Delaware State in doubles action with a 6-3 victory at the No. 3 spot.

Morgan State evened the contest at 1-1 when
Marta Serra Carles defeated Eva Golembiovski at No. 3 singles by retirement 6-3, 2-0.

Delaware State then went on to win the next five singles matches to go ahead, 5-1 and secure the victory.

The Lady Bears'
Stefania Moysiadi ended the match with a No. 6 singles win over Delaware State's Brooklyn Bowen 2-6, 7-5, 10-6 to round out the scoring.

Next Up: The Lady Bears will take on Norfolk State on Friday, March 28 for its opening match of the MEAC Round-Up, hosted by Howard University at the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation. First serve is at 9 a.m.
