Get Your Game Plan Ready

2025 Schedule

BALTIMORE, Md. (March 20, 2025)
—  The Morgan State football schedule for 2025 features non-conference games against South Alabama, Towson, and Toledo, as well as Homecoming against Virginia-Lynchburg highlight the 11-game schedule released today.

The Bears are set to kick off their 2025 campaign with an intriguing out-of-conference matchup against the South Alabama Jaguars.  The season opener, scheduled for August 30th, will see the Bears travel to Mobile, Alabama, to face the Sun Belt Conference program. This game offers a unique opportunity for the Bears to test their mettle early against a rising FBS team.

Following a challenging road contest, Morgan will return home, eager to defend their turf against the Towson Tigers in the highly anticipated 'Battle for Greater Baltimore.' Morgan will look to leverage their home-field advantage and secure their first victory against the Tigers since 2009.

On September 13, the Bears will head to Ohio to take on the University of Toledo, before gearing up for a unique gridiron experience as they prepare to face Miles College in the annual Circle City Classic. This year's matchup will take place on September 27th at the iconic Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Colts. The game will mark the first meeting between the teams.

The Bears will embark on a journey to Washington D.C. on October 4th, where they'll clash with the Georgetown Hoyas. Following their trip to DC, the Bears will return to East Cold Spring Lane, eagerly anticipating the electric atmosphere of Homecoming. On October 11th, they'll welcome the Virginia-Lynchburg Dragons to their home turf, aiming to deliver a memorable performance for their loyal fans and alumni during this celebrated occasion.

The Bears face a crucial early test in their Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) campaign this season, kicking things off with a highly anticipated Beltway battle against the Howard Bison at Greene Stadium on October 25th. This rivalry game holds extra weight as the conference opener, setting the tone for Morgan's MEAC championship aspirations.

The challenge only intensifies the following week, as they hit the road to face the South Carolina State Bulldogs in Orangeburg on November 1st. The Bulldogs, reigning MEAC champions, will be a formidable opponent, forcing the Bears to bring their A-game on both sides of the ball if they hope to snag a pivotal road victory early in the conference schedule.

The Bears will host the Delaware State Hornets, honoring both Military Appreciation and Academic Achievement, adding a special layer of meaning to the contest on Nov. 8.  Following this, the team will hit the road, venturing to The Tidewater on November 15th for a highly anticipated showdown against the Norfolk State Spartans. The intrigue surrounding this game is significantly amplified by the presence of former NFL star Michael Vick, who leads the Spartans, promising a high-profile and potentially challenging test for the Bears.

Morgan will close out their season at home for a matchup against the North Carolina Central Eagles on November 22nd at Hughes Stadium. The atmosphere promises to be electric, fueled by the emotion of Senior Day and the competitive rivalry between the Bears and the Eagles, making it a memorable finale to the 2025 season.
