Morgan State Athletics to Celebrate Black History Month

BALTIMORE, Md. — Starting February 1, Morgan State Athletics is excited to kick off a month-long celebration of Black History Month (BHM).

Morgan Athletics celebrates Black History Month 2025 by highlighting the accomplishments and contributions of Black student-athletes, alumni and staff who have contributed to the success of the department. Celebrating Black history is not just a month-long event; it's a year-round acknowledgment of resilience, strength, and triumph. Honoring the trailblazers, innovators, and leaders who paved the way for a brighter future.

The Morgan State Athletics will celebrate Black History Month throughout February with a month-long digital storytelling effort on morganstatebears.com and the Bears social media platforms. Student-athletes from all sports will discuss the meaning and importance of this month through social posts and graphics.

Each Monday in February will showcase larger stories from MSU's rich history and its exciting present.
