BALTIMORE, Md. - What does it mean to use your voice? Morgan State students will hear the answer from decorated Olympic Track & Field Athlete Allyson Felix herself when the She Runs the World Tour comes to the National Treasure on October 21.
The free event features a screening of
She Runs the World, the documentary featuring Allyson Felix, followed by a live Q&A and meet-and-greet at the University Student Center.
The most decorated athlete in track and field history, Felix fought for equal pay and protections for women and mothers, and changed the game for women everywhere. Today she is a businesswoman, a Black maternal health advocate, and one of the most powerful voices in sports. She is also training for LA28 and going for a sixth Olympic Games.
"I'm extremely grateful that Allyson Felix has chosen Morgan State as a stop on her She Runs the World Tour," said
Neville Hodge, Morgan State Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. "I believe that it's important for not just Morgan State students, but also the Baltimore community to hear her story and understand the impact that she has made not just on the track & field community, but on the world."
Felix will also participate in a special invite-only fireside chat focused on maternal health with student-athletes and select community members.
The event is free and open to the community. Registration is required at
