NEW YORK, N.Y. (Jan. 21, 2025)--Morgan State returned to the track for the first time in 2025 when it traveled to New York to come in the HBCU Invitational held at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory.
Brylan Carter paced the Lady Bears with her seventh-place finish in the weight throw. Carter finished with a toss of 49-06.25 (15.09m).
Hemetii Apet came in 11
th in the long jump with a mark of 16-03.00 (4.95m), while
Deborah Adekayode (16-01.50/4.91m), placed 12
th.
On the track,
Crystal Coke finished 10
th in the 3000-meter run, crossing the line in a time of 12:14.75.
Abigail Fisher also had a top-12 finish, as she completed the mile run in a time of 5:49.54 to place 12
th.
The Lady Bears head to Boston, Mass. for the Riverhawk Invitational (Jan. 24-25) hosted by UMass Lowell.
