Morgan State trails the all-time series, 13-5 dating back to the 2012 season. Last year the two teams split the doubleheader with host Towson winning the opener 2-1 in eight innings and Morgan claiming the nightcap 9-1 in six innings. The Lady Bears have won five of the last eight meetings.
Â
Like a year ago, the Lady Bears (16-12, 5-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) enter the contest riding a season-best six-game winning streak. Morgan State completed a three-game series sweep of MEAC foe Marland Eastern Shore with a 4-1 comeback win on Sunday. The Lady Bears outscored the Hawks, 18-5 in the three games.
Â
Towson (12-18, 4-5 Coastal Athletic Association), ended a four-game losing skid, following a 2-1 win at home over UNC Wilmington on Sunday. The win would salvage a game in the three-game series.
