BALTIMORE, Md. (March 21, 2024)--Morgan State has announced adjustments to this weekend's scheduled home softball series against Maryland Eastern Shore.

Saturday's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) doubleheader has now been moved to Friday, March 22 due to expected rain that day. First pitch of the opener will be at 1 p.m., followed by. 3 p.m. start for Game 2.

The series will wrap up on Sunday, March 24 with a 2 p.m. start. All three games will be played at Lois T. Murray Field.

Morgan State (13-12, 2-1 MEAC), winners of three straight, are coming off a midweek doubleheader sweep over visiting Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday. The Lady Bears defeated The Mount, 4-1 and 5-0 to extend their winning streak to four straight over The Mount.

Maryland Eastern Shore (6-18, 1-2 MEAC) is in the midst of a four-game losing skid. The Hawks were dealt a 25-0 loss on the road on Wednesday to Virginia Tech.

Last season the Hawks won the series, winning two of three games against Morgan State. It was the lone outright MEAC series loss for the Lady Bears. UMES, which was the sixth seed, then went on to eliminate top-seeded Morgan from the 2023 MEAC Softball championship with an 11-7 victory.
