Morgan State To Face Penn State On Day 2 Of Liberty Softball Classic

LYNCHBURG, Va. (Feb. 24, 2024)--The Morgan State softball team resumes play in the Liberty Tournament today, Saturday, Feb. 24 with a doubleheader against Penn State at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium.
 
First pitch is at 4:30 p.m., followed by a 6:30 p.m. start for Game 2. Fans can follow the action with live stats: Game 1 Game 2
 
Morgan State (7-1) enters Day 2 action coming off a series split against Penn on Friday. The Lady Bears suffered their first defeat of the season with an 8-7 loss in 8 innings to the Quakers in the opener. Morgan would bounce back to earn a 6-3 win in Game 2.
 
Penn State (8-1) is coming off a 1-1 split yesterday as well. The Nittany Lions defeated Saint Francis-Pa., before suffering their first loss of the season, following a 9-1 loss to host Liberty in nine innings.
