Cornish Named 2023 N4A Scholarship Recipient

BALTIMORE, Md. (June 1, 2023) —Marvin Cornish, assistant athletic director for student-athlete development for Morgan State athletics, was named one of 13 recipients of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) ) Opportunities Scholarship for 2023.

"It's an honor and privilege to have been selected by N4A for the 2023 Opportunities Scholarship," said Cornish. "My transition to Morgan State has been nothing short of amazing from my synergy with our Student-Athletes to acceptance and integration into the Morgan State Athletic Administration."

Cornish added, "As the first recipient from Morgan State to receive this award, and represent the Bears on a national level, this will be one of my career highlights and one I hold dear."

The N4A Opportunities Scholarship is designed to support N4A members from Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU), Low Resource Institutions (LRI), and Two-Year Colleges. Applicants must be a current dues-paying N4A member to be considered as the scholarship covers registration and lodging for the 2023 NACDA Convention scheduled for June 11-14 in Orlando, Fla.

N4A, which has been in existence since 1975, is a diverse educational service and professional non-profit organization. Membership of N4A includes academic support and student services personnel who are committed to enhancing opportunities for academic, athletics and personal success for student-athletes.
