MEAC Announces 2023 Softball Academic Honors

Lady Bears place 10 on MEAC All-Academic Team.

NORFOLK, Va. (May 9, 2023)--The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced the 2023 Softball All-Academic Selections, honoring 74 student-athletes from the conference's eight softball-playing institutions who have achieved academic success.
 
Morgan State had 10 players named to this year's All-Academic Team. They were: Madison Bolyea, Victoria Fletcher, Deborah Hamilton, Anaya Hunte, Ky'Anah Lake, Chandler Mitchell, Madison Nunez, Emily Raubuch, Asia Thomas, Maia Wilkins.
 
MEAC sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average (GPA), as well as transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year, are eligible for All-Academic accolades.
 
"I want to congratulate our softball student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom this season," MEAC Commissioner Sonja Stills said. "So much of the focus on intercollegiate athletics focuses on what happens on the field, what happens in the classroom is the ultimate goal, and these young ladies are to be commended for their accomplishments."

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is in its 51st year of intercollegiate competition with the 2021-22 academic school year.
