Lady Bears Head To Rival Towson On Wednesday For Mid-Week Series

BALTIMORE, Md. (March 28, 2023)--The Morgan State softball team will visit local foe Towson for a mid-week non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday, March 29 at Tiger Softball Stadium. First pitch is at 2 p.m.

Morgan State has won four of the last six meetings against the Tigers, including a 12-3 victory in six innings last season at Towson (3/30/22), which ended a two-game losing skid.
 
The Lady Bears (15-11, 6-0 MEAC) enter the contest riding a season-best six-game winning streak, following a three-game series sweep of Norfolk State in league play. Morgan State defeated Norfolk State 2-0 in Sunday's competition. Morgan outscored the Spartans, 16-2 in the three games, including two shutout victories and a no-hitter.
 
Towson (13-14, 4-5 CAA), loser's of five of its last six games, is coming off two straight losses at Elon to end the three-game series. The Phoenix dropped the finale of the series on Sunday, 12-4 in five innings.
