NORFOLK, Va. (Feb. 1, 2023)--Morgan State sophomore
Inara Shell was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Norfolk State sophomore Mercyline Kimaiyo was selected as Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Shell won a pair of gold medals this past weekend, winning both the long jump and the triple jump at the Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University. Shell had a leap of 19'4.25" in the long jump, which is the second-best distance in the MEAC this season. Shell also ranks third in the conference in the triple jump after recording a distance of 39'7.75.
