WASHINGTON, D.C. (Nov. 3, 2023)--Senior
Jourdan Page had a match-high eight kills, but it wasn't enough, as the Bears fell on the road to Beltway rival Howard, 3-0 () in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) match at Burr Gymnasium.
The loss was the seventh straight to Howard, as the Bears fell to 7-19 overall, 2-9 in the MEAC. Howard improved to 12-13, 9-3 in the MEAC.
Freshman
Jada Williams hit .667 with four kills on six attempts and no errors and tallied a match-high four blocks.
Erin Carpenter had 11 assists and five digs, both team highs for Morgan.
The Bison were led by Jennifer Bolden, who finished with a team-high seven kills. Leah Reeves collected a match-high 14 assists and Rya McKinnon tallied 10 kills.
The Bears will close out the home schedule on Sunday, Nov. 5, when they host Norfolk State at 1 p.m. at Hill Field House. The contest will also mark Senior Day at Morgan State, as it will be the final home contest for seniors
