PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (April 29, 2022)--Day 2 of the 126th Penn Relays presented by Toyota, continued on Friday at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field with several Lady Bears performing in the field events.

Tia Jackson placed fifth in the long jump college section, with a jump of 19-feet-3.25 inches (5.87m). Meanwhile, Johnelle Johnson had a throw of 145-feet-9.00 inches (44.44m) to place 13th in the discus throw college section.

The running of the Penn Relays returned for the first time since 2019 with the past two years being cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The first 125 years, nothing derailed the Relays from happening, not even the wars.

The 126th Penn Relays will conclude on Saturday, April 30. Saturday's Toyota Day will air live on national television from 2-4 p.m. on ESPN2. Click here for release.
