Men's Tennis Takes Down Georgetown, 4-3

Singles (2,3,1,5,4,6)
Jake Fellows claimed a commanding 6-1, 6-2 victory on court two against Rhajzon Rankins.  
 
The Bears responded with a pair of victories on court 3 and court 1. Nihit Rawal posted a 6-4, 6-2 win against Adhvyte Sharma, and Mikeal Carpenter followed up with a hard fought 6-4, 7-6(6) win against Kieran Foster. 
 

Georgetown ensured the contest would go the distance, starting with a 6-0, 6-0 win by Akira Morgenstern versus Martial Kawunde on court 5. Then, on court 4, Scott Bickel of Georgetown would overcome Niles Rachal in a back-and-forth first set to win by a 7(4)-6, 6-4 margin and tie the overall score. 

That shifted the focus squarely to court 6, where Lopez handled his business and clinched the match with an exciting 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 victory over Charlie Suh.
 
Doubles (3,1,2)
The Bears clinched the doubles point with wins on courts one and three.
 
Nihit Rawal and Mikeal Carpenter recorded a 6-3 win against the pairing of Jake Fellows and Kieran Foster.
 
Niles Rachal and and Rhajzhon Rankins claimed a shutout victory, 6-0, from court three against Scott Bickel and Charlie Suh.  

"The team is coming together and we are starting to get the momentum going to spring break," said Nihit Rawal regarding the win. "I'm really looking forward to the MEAC roundup and excited to get similar results there."
 
Next Up:
Morgan State (2-3) returns to action when they host Harford C.C. on Monday (March 6) at MSU Tennis Courts. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
