Towson and Morgan State met last season for a single game on April 14 at Towson with the home team earning a 5-2 victory. The Tigers' win ended a three-game losing skid to Morgan State.
Â
The Lady Bears carried a 2-0 lead and a no-hitter into the bottom of the sixth inning when the Tigers erupted for five runs on five hits to earn the comeback victory.
Â
Morgan State (13-10) enters this year's contest on a two-game winning streak and winners of seven of its last nine games.
Â
The Lady Bears are coming off a 6-2 win on Sunday at Norfolk State to give Morgan a 2-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) series win over the Spartans. It was the 10th consecutive MEAC series without a series loss, dating back to the 2019 campaign. Eight of those 10 series the Lady Bears won outright and two ended in ties.
Â
Towson (9-16) is coming off a series loss at James Madison, dropping all three games over the weekend to fall to 0-3 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
Â
